Travel takes us out of our comfort zones and inspires us to try new things

• The best time to find deals on airfare is late Tuesday night to early Wednesday morning.  Like 11PM Tuesday night to 2AM Wednesday morning.  
• I use a mileage card for most of my daily expenses and this comes in handy when it's time to trade in those points for airfare.  However, when I need to buy tickets, one of my favorite websites for travel is Kayak.com.  You can check out it our here: https://www.kayak.com/

• Take time to learn some of the local customs.  This is super important when traveling internationally.
• Don't travel like a tourist.  This was a tip my daughter gave me before my first trip to Italy.  Do what the locals like to do.  Shop in bookstores, or local shops away from the touristy areas.  Ask where the locals hang out or eat.  This will give you a better, more immersive experience and also save you money.
